Mid-Ulster Women’s Aid received a number of the donated toys from charity In Kind Direct, an organisation set up to re-distribute goods from companies to charities across the UK.
The donation was made possible thanks to Disney Store’s partnership with In Kind Direct for their annual Disney ‘Share the Magic’ campaign, and was part of a total of 10,000 toys distributed by In Kind Direct to hundreds of charities in the UK, bringing Christmas joy to thousands of children.
Martina Watson, Manager of Mid-Ulster Women’s Aid thanked In-Kind Direct for the generous donation of Disney toys and went on to say:
“Throughout the year, Women’s Aid has supported over 500 women and children in the Mid-Ulster area who have experienced domestic abuse. Many of these mums will be struggling financially to make Christmas special for their children and these cuddly toys will make a lovely present and the children will be delighted with this popular gift at Christmas
Since joining In Kind Direct in 2004, Mid-Ulster Women’s Aid has purchased £17,955 worth of goods, helping us save money and do more for the people we serve.
